The File

In December 2024, former pastor J.D. Hall published a Substack article titled "The Protocols of the Learned Anons of Zion," reviving interest in the century-old forgery among a network of self-described New Christian Right commentators. Hall later followed it with a companion piece, "Henry Ford, Miriam Adelson, and the Protocols of Zion in Modern Day," which explicitly maps Ford's Dearborn Independent history onto a modern political donor. Miriam Adelson's political spending is real and separately documented, a matter of public campaign-finance record. The conspiratorial framing Hall wraps around that spending, that it proves coordinated Jewish control, is the same forgery Graves disproved in 1921, reissued under new names.

Hall's original December 2024 piece gets its own basic chronology wrong, claiming the text's debunking began around 1933 when the actual exposure happened in 1921, twelve years earlier. His underlying argument, that the text's origin barely matters because it supposedly captures something true, is not new. It restates, without naming its source, the exact logic Italian fascist Julius Evola used in his 1938 introduction to an Italian edition of the Protocols. Hall's circle overlaps directly with Alex Jones's platform through Harrison Smith, who covered the same material on Infowars-adjacent channels in June 2026.

The Documented Record

December 15, 2024: J.D. Hall published a Substack article titled "The Protocols of the Learned Anons of Zion," stating the text was "first published in 1903 in Russia." That date refers to the Znamia newspaper serialization; it is not the 1905 Nilus edition that actually achieved worldwide circulation, a distinction Hall's article does not make. [DOCUMENTED]

Hall's article claims that "by 1933, when Hitler had vanquished the Weimar Republic, sources in Europe began to 'debunk' the Protocols as a mere fabrication, largely leaning upon their plagiarism of Joly." The actual exposure of the plagiarism occurred in 1921, twelve years before Hitler took power. [DOCUMENTED]

Hall's article advises readers to use the Russian search engine Yandex for research into the Protocols, describing other search engines as heavily censoring results. [DOCUMENTED]

May 2026: Hall published a companion piece, "Henry Ford, Miriam Adelson, and the Protocols of Zion in Modern Day," on Substack via Insight2Incite, explicitly framing Adelson's documented political donations through the same conspiratorial lens Ford's Dearborn Independent applied a century earlier. Adelson's political spending is a matter of public campaign-finance record, disclosed and reported through ordinary regulatory channels. The record does not show any illegality or hidden coordination behind that spending; the companion piece's contribution is the interpretive frame placed around a documented, lawful activity, not new evidence of wrongdoing. Hall's argument, that whether the Protocols were forged matters less than whether their content is accurate, mirrors the same logic Julius Evola used in his 1938 introduction to an Italian edition of the Protocols, that even granting the text was fabricated by antisemites, it would still express with exactitude what Jewish tradition itself supposedly aspires to. December 9, 2024: Joel Webbon stated on Calvin Robinson's show that "religiously, spiritually, Judaism, I believe, is a pernicious evil." No specific public statement by Webbon addressing the Protocols directly has been located and confirmed. His documented antisemitism and his co-platforming with Hall at NXR Studios are established; a direct Webbon statement on the Protocols specifically is not, and this file does not claim one. June 5, 2026: An Instagram reel was published showing Harrison Smith, an Infowars host, covering "the protocols of the elder leaders of Zion." The reel's existence and date are confirmed. What the Record Does Not Establish

The record treats the Protocols as a forgery and propaganda instrument, not as evidence of Jewish conduct. It establishes that Webbon publicly promoted a Protocols of Zion series on X, stated that the Protocols are plagiarized but not fabricated, and thanked Harrison Smith for commentary on the series. It does not establish that Hall directly cites Evola, that Hall, Webbon, and Smith coordinated with one another, or that any of them acted on behalf of a foreign, institutional, or organized campaign.
